EUROSTANDARD CZ was established in 1994 to particularly
substitute some activities, which were in the competence of the Czech Metrology Institute (CMI)
- former Institute for Research, Production and Applications of the Radioisotope in Prague. This institute worked as a state institution since
1919 until 1993, when it was privatized and most of the duties performed by the UVVVR passed onto CMI.
The main activities of EUROSTANDARD CZ are as follows:
- Import, export and distribution of radioactive matters of all kinds and sealed sources of ionizing radiation
- Services connected to rating atributes of ionizing radiation sources like Acceptance tests, Long-term
stability probation etc.
- Services connected to transportation of hazardous materials up to A1 and A2 limits
according to the EU's Agreement on road transportation of hazardous materials ADR
